Product Family Engineering
Product Overview
TrueScope™ is a full life-cycle process designed to develop software for product families. TrueScope Technologies, Inc. licenses this process and further supports its deployment via professional services, training, and tools.
The TrueScope™ process is decomposed into three incremental phases: the definition and the viability economics of product families, the family-oriented requirements analysis, and the engineering of the family platform architecture. To each phase corresponds a TrueScope product. When integrating existing assets, the three products are extended by the Asset Integration product.
Though TrueScope™ is a full-life cycle process, its constituent products can be used stand-alone. Depending on the needs, your enterprise can select the most relevant TrueScope products and immediately benefit from the TrueScope™ process.
Licensable products:
  • Scoping & Economics is the solution for defining and planning a product family's feature set and individual products as well as verifying its economic viability.
  • Domain Analysis is the solution for eliciting and analyzing the commonalities and variabilities in product family engineering requirements.
  • Platform Architecture is the solution for designing the base software architecture according to the identified economic and engineering constraints.
  • Asset Integration is the solution for integrating numerous existing assets in an upcoming product family. Extends the other three products.
In addition, TrueScope™ covers issues about repository, process & organization management, family evolution, and family member (product) engineering.
